Saris Cycling Group Partners with OwnerIQ to Support the IBD in the Digital Space

Brand innovator in cycling industry partners with digital advertising leader

BOSTON, MA / MADISON WI— August 18, 2015 — Saris Cycling Group (SCG), the manufacturer of Saris bike racks, CycleOps bike trainers and PowerTap cycling power meters, has partnered with OwnerIQ, a digital advertising leader to launch a retail activation program.

SCG retailers now have a new way to reach local in-market shoppers and drive sell-through of SCG products at retail. With OwnerIQ’s retailer activation platform, retailers of SCG products can reach relevant consumers and drive them to their brick and mortar store. Even with the growing influence of digital and online shopping, 83% of shoppers still prefer to purchase at retail.


The Saris, CycleOps and PowerTap websites are key destinations where consumer’s research products, since 60% of consumers visit a product’s brand website on their path to purchase and 50% of those consumers will purchase within 30 days.

“We are continually looking for ways to help the IBD win at retail,” said SCG National Sales Manager Mike Blang, “We were the first brand to adopt Buy Local Now and are the first brand within the bike industry to partner with OwnerIQ. We believe this is a unique solution to drive our online traffic to the IBD’s store and we are optimistic that it will be very successful for those who implement it.”

Through co-branded digital advertisements, that will feature SCG’s products and participating dealer’s retail location(s), dealers will be able to capitalize on the visitors of the Saris, CycleOps and/or PowerTap websites to let a consumer know that the retailer carries SCG products and drive them to the retailer’s store to buy. OwnerIQ creates the ads and the dealers are able to approve/edit before the ads launch.
