Employee Spotlight: Caroline Fong
Caroline Fong, Product Manager
You know our products, you know our tech… but do you know the people behind it all? Step into our Q’mmunity Corner and learn who’s who with our employee spotlight series. Today we’re featuring Caroline Fong, Product Manager based in ownerIQ’s Boston office.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning:
Check on the status of reports and get coffee.
Take us through a typical day in the life of Caroline:
No day is the same, but you can usually find me in a tech or platform management meeting, putting on my investigative hat to triage an issue, or in the zone working on defining/testing a feature.
You’re most productive when…
I’m engrossed in figuring out the details of my current project.
What’s a big project you are working on right now?
Phased enhancements to Audience Segmentation. Right now, we’re working on giving our clients more ways to see and segment their own browsing data.
How many browser tabs do you have open at any given time?
Many…but organized by separate windows (and OneTab)!
Your desk: messy or neat?
I’d call it minimalist.
Lunch: bring or buy?
What’s your favorite perk at the Q?
The array of beers.
Music while you work: yes or no?
What’s on your shuffle?
‘Stay Wild’ Spotify playlist or Disney tunes.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
There are two known instances I can recall; everything in between was exploration. In kindergarten, I wanted to be an artist. In middle school, I wanted to be an astronaut.
If money weren’t an object and you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Do I have to pick just one? I’d slowly make my way across the globe, spending time in different parts–but I’d start back in Fiji.
You get around by: walking, driving, public transportation or a mix?
Tell us, mountain or beach?
When you’re not here, where are you?
Wandering all over Somerville–either on a short run (working up to a 5K!), checking out a farmers market, or trying to catch ’em all (Pokemon Go).
If you have one then we’ve got to know… what’s your favorite Q Jay (Jay Habegger, CEO) moment?
Just any segment that includes banter between Jay and Doug.
Looking ahead – what most excites you most about 2019 and your work?
Building out our Audience Management suite! These days, data is king and I’m looking forward to building more tools that help our clients use their data in a meaningful way.
