You know our products, you know our tech… but do you know the people behind it all? Step into our Q’mmunity Corner and learn who’s who with our employee spotlight series. Today we’re featuring Amy Zagrakalis, Director, Sales based in ownerIQ’s Chicago office.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning:
Get coffee!

Take us through a typical day in the life of Amy:
Wake up, get coffee, shower, dressed and out the door to OIQ! I commute Downtown via train from the far south side of Chicago.

You’re most productive when…
I am busy. In other words, on a tight schedule.

What’s a big project you are working on right now?
At home it is a huge undertaking. Windows, siding, doors, deck and patio. Planning, choosing colors and scheduling contractors is sucking up most all of my time. At work, getting retailers to sign and perfecting my pitch!

How many browser tabs do you have open at any given time?
At least 10. On my cell, even more!

Your desk: messy or neat?
I like to think of it as an organized mess.

Lunch: bring or buy?

What’s your favorite perk at the Q?
I probably don’t use it as much as I should, but unlimited time off provides for some great flexibility.

Music while you work: yes or no?

What’s on your shuffle?
I love music, anything that has a good beat and mostly the top songs but I am not a person who listens during the day at all. If I am listening to something during the morning/day it is usually a podcast.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A pilot.

If money weren’t an object and you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
This is what I am trying to figure out! This Chicago weather is driving me crazy!!

You get around by: walking, driving, public transportation or a mix?

Tell us, mountain or beach?

When you’re not here, where are you?
More than likely if I am not home with my family or out with friends I am shopping for shoes or at a brewery. Always up for a good beer!

If you have one then we’ve got to know… what’s your favorite Q Jay (Jay Habegger, CEO) moment?
Time will tell!

Looking ahead – what most excites you most about 2019 and your work?
The changes we are making and all the potential we have as a company.
